At Synerlogic Chemicals, Research & Development (R&D) is the engine of innovation—driving new products and the improvement of existing solutions. But what does this R&D process actually look like? Poupak Dadvar, Manager R&D and Innovation, takes us behind the scenes.
Where does innovation start?
It all begins with product requests that flow through our New Product Development team. Requests to modify formulations of existing products or to bring new products into production are handled via the Productintake process.
The R&D Process
- Our process begins with Research & Design, where we analyse raw materials, collaborate with suppliers, and develop the formulation on paper.
- Next comes the Development phase, where we test and refine the formulation in our lab before further testing under various conditions.
- In Research & Quality Control, we validate performance both internally and in real-world.
- Once the product meets all specifications, we hand it over to the Product Intake team for implementation and market launch.
Innovation through collaboration
R&D works closely with Product Management, SHEQ, Proces Engineering and Production to ensure that our innovations are practical, safe and future proof.
